What is College and Career night?

College and Career Night is a chance to meet College Representatives from numerous public, private, and out-of-state colleges and universities.  It is also an opportunity to meet Instructors and Representatives from academic, career and ROP programs will answer your questions and help you plan your career path.

Who Should Attend?

College and Career night is an opporunity for High School students, Parents and Transfer students to talk with representatives from over 55 Colleges as well as Career professionals.

Transferring from Cabrillo to a University - Gym Rm 1118

Learn what you need to know about transferring from Cabrillo to the University! Includes information about the Cabrillo Honors Transfer Program. Presented by Cabrillo's Transfer Center Coordinator and Honors Transfer Program Director.

Some questions you may ask are:

Do I have to take ALL honors classes if I am accepted into the Honors Program?

Do I need a 2-year degree to transfer?

What is the application deadline to UCSC/CSUMB?

Is there garaunteed admission?

These workshops are for Parents and Students. Learn how web-based career navigation tool can help students with their educational and career decisions. Presented by the Santa Cruz County College Commitment (S4C)

Financial Aid Workshop-Library Rm. 1051 (2nd Floor)
Learn about financial aid, what is it and how do you get it! There are many different financial aid options, take the opportunity to hear about how and when to apply. Presented by Cabrillo Financial Aid staff.

How to come prepared?

Invite your parents! Make a list of the Colleges and careers you want to explore.  Bring a sheet of pre-printed labels with your name, address and email to save time! Colleges and Universities will ask you to fill out information cards. This is a quick way to give them your information! Be sure to bring notes and write down important information including application deadlines.  Plan to attend the Financial Aid, Career Planning, and Transfer workshops. They are offered multiple times throughout the evening for your convenince!
